Making of Ajmal Kasab..

Yesterday morning when i was going through Times of India, i came to know about the Special court's verdict on 26/11 Mumbai attacks.I came to know that Ajmal Kasab will be hanged till death as per the court verdict. However the decision was well expected.
But, i dont know there was something which is bugging my mind , when i find people celebrating after the verdict, i saw a tea vendor at railway station is celebrating after the verdict, a group of people shouting slogans against ajmal kasab, and public prosecutor for kasab case, ujwal nikam is also in joyous mood. There is no doubt in cout's  decision about his death sentence, he deserves the same. But there was no reaction of People when 76 CRPF men were killed by naxals. I didn't find any reaction when union civil aviation minister’s daughter used her influence to change the schedule of a flight for her personal benefit and that too for some IPL  purpose, which makes lots of Air India passengers suffer and people at our own country involved in  scams and controversies and holding the posts of ministers. We have the persons having charge of murder but holding the Post of state’s chief minister. The list is long enough.

But, none of us thought that , what was the circumstances which made Ajmal kasab a real life villain. When i browsed through the details of Ajmal kasab , i came to know that , he hails from a poor family from a small village of Pakistan's Faridkot .His father makes a living selling dahi puri while his elder brother Afzal, 25, works as a laborer in Lahore. He left home after a fight with his father in 2005. He had asked for new clothes on Eid, but his father could not provide them, which made him angry. He then became involved in petty crime with his friend Muzaffar Lal Khan, soon moving on to armed robbery. In December 2007, Bakr-Eid day, they were in Rawalpindi trying to buy weapons when they encountered members of Jama'at-ud-Da'wah, the political wing of Lashkar-e-Taiba, distributing pamphlets. After a brief chat, they decide to sign up for training with the Lashkar-e-Taiba, ending up at their base camp, Markaz Taiba. From here his journey started with terrorism.

I would like to make my point clear once again that i am not against the court’s decision  of death sentence to kasab, but i just want to raise the point that , it was circumstances which lead to become a poor village boy to become a Ajmal Kasab. And for these circumstances the leaders and rule makers of Pakistan are responsible. Pakistan gets aid of millions of dollars  from united states every year. If youths from villages assured of shelter, food and house , they will never join terrorism. But for their worse condition politicians and rulers from Pakistan are only responsible. We don’t  know where those million dollars are gone. There was no other option for a poor village boy  to earn his bread and butter. Same was the case with kasab, it was his circumstances which compelled him to join the terrorist group. The case is not so different in our own country india .  politician here also blow their own trumpet. They do whatever they want to do. They invest their money in high profile event like IPL. They use their position to take advantage in govt. Matters. How a union minister, who is a public servant of high order can invest a money in events like IPL, which undirectly drags the Indian rupee outside the Indian territory.  The same ministers stated few months earlier that airlines economy classes are like cattle class. I just want to raise the issue that what are the immediate measures taken by govt. to counter the issue of Naxalism after mass killing of 76 CRPF Persons. What are the legal action taken by authorities against that union minister who backs the IPL, what are the actions taken against aviation minister’s daughter and minister, who makes hundreds of passenger suffer for the personal cause. The law of country is same for every citizen, then why nothing has been done against them. The list of such type of politician is very long.
Actually the ruler class or so called politician don’t want these problem to be sorted out. They want people to be crippled with lots of problems like inflation, unemployment, hygiene electricity and education, so that they remain busy with their own struggling  lifes and don’t think about the govt. Machinery. They want issues and problem to be  utilised for their vote banks, that is the reason they  talk so much about caste reservations, religion and such issues which hits the sentiments of people easily. They know it very better , that good education, hygiene, employment will make people more aware and enlightened and then it will not possible to make people fool for their votes.  If kasab was provided with good education and food for two times a day, there was no point for him to join the terrorism, and for this, the authorities and govt.  Of Pakistan is responsible who is not able to provide him the basic life living facilities.  If the condition will remain same , then  lots of youth will turn into Kasab and problem will never be sorted out.
It was good to see the awareness in public regarding the Kasab case, but the same awareness is required for other incidents also. If people can celebrate at railway stations and market areas after court’s verdict, then people can also show their response against corruption and lethargic working of govt. Agencies. We should not forget that it was awareness of people in EUROPE commonly known as Renaissance which makes the industrial revolution possible and modernise the western countries. So the awareness is the need of hour to make our country self sufficient, well governed and terror free so that no more youth turn into Kasab.

Dantewada Disaster...Slap on Internal Security.

India...the world's largest democracy with world's 2nd biggest standing Army. bla..bla
I dont know what is the conclusion drawn at home ministry after Dantewada Incident. However for them the issue was not very surprising, because their own committee called "Kargil Committee " expected the situation even worse than dantewada's around 10 years back. They recommended that there is urgent requirement to revise the training pattern of Para Military forces and there strategic deployment in Naxal effected area.

But, as usual, Govt. official were more busy in handling the some other special Issue. This was not the first time when some important intelligent information related to internal security is ignored and consequences were faced by uniform personnel. The case like Attack 26/11, not too old in memories.
The Height was at that time when Home Minister attending the funerals of 76 departed soldiers stated that"We should not loose our nerve at this time " . Mr. Chidambaram seems to be very generous person. He was patient even after such a deadly ambush.

He must be knowing by this time that more than 10 indian states are naxal effected, and that too equipped with modern weapons and guns which security forces don't have any match. If the condition continued to be like this, then time is not too far when Pakistan and china will become less prominent threat than internal problems.
It is always said that "Prevention is better than cure ", however there is no time for prevention because by now it is all ready a disease like situation.  Hopefully something effective will be concluded this time at Mr. HM's office...so that such a  inhuman disaster can be avoided.

Will India Really Become a Superpower...?

Some Dreams can be Dangerous. Especially ones that are not drawn from any sort of reality . Like India's fixation with being a grand player on the world stage.
It's an India ready to make the world spin the other round on its axis. Each success has brought another bout of confusion, India's Lunar Mission is the fine example. There is Ice on Moon, Hai Hind!

NRIs have Played a big role in formulating the superpower fantasy. They're oblivious to starvation deaths in Bengal but delighted to find Laxmi Mittal the UK's richest person.
In 2009, India was the world's second largest arms importer. But it's still an importer. Tanks, fighter jets,warships-they are all foreign made. China, in contrast, is now among the world's five top arms exporters.

Shackled Superpower:
Literacy: India has world's largest no. of illiterates, people who can't even write their own name.
Child Health: India has the world's largest no. of child facilities as well as world's largest no. of children living malnourished lives.
Socio- Economic equity : Despite its Large middle class, india also has about 400 million people who live on less than $2 per day.
Regional Security: India's military does not extend beyond sub continent. The country's ability to influence events beyond its territory is highly constrained.
Knowledge : Indians are not knowledge Leaders. The country owns only a small number of patents worldwide.
Demography Dividend: India is counting on its young as the developed world ages. However, almost 60% of indian youth are unemployable in white collar roles. The job explosion, meanwhile,is in the knowledge economy. With an ill-equipped population, by 2020 india may be staring at demographic nightmare.

The Middle class insulates itself in the superpower ivory tower , it will invite reaction . There are people out in jungles who want to overthrow the state, an entity they see as hostage to the middle class and fancies

Treading Towards Tommorow's India, Halt to see Today's.

We Indians are looking forward to 2020, with a vision to be one of the superpower . Its good to be motivated , but are we really putting our efforts to achieve this milestone.

Yesterday I watched movie “ Rann” which fantastically displayed the Battle of TRP’s among the media channels. How effective is Media, that it can lead to Dismissal of Govt. Rightly said , that media is one of the pillars of Democracy. So, there is no doubt that Media has enough to do in conduct of the Machinery called Democracy.

Actually speaking what i have observed that, there is deterioration in our own mind sets. It is we who have changed ourselves in last two decades. The same is case with the media, it started reflecting our own mind set. They started broadcasting what we wanted to hear, what we wanted to watch. When we talk about Media, it also includes other broadcasted form like Movies , serials, reality shows and many more. So, when we started deviating from our roots of our cultural originality, media reflected the same by showing so called reality shows , objectionable TV shows , say roadies or splitsvilla etc. Family serials highlights only family problems, complications of Relationships. They don’t like to show the bonding and family values of our country.

Gone are those days when we used to watch the tv shows like Udaan , samandar , sword of Tipu sultaan, Bharat ki khoj, Malgudi Days, Param vir chakra and many more . These TV shows were fine package of motivation , inspiration and knowledge. These shows inspired a lot to generations . Actually at that time there was very fine balance between Media and Education. Children used to go through about the Lessons of Rani Lakshmibai, Maharana Pratap, Gandhi ji and many more. But the Things have changed now, these days channels are showing Reality shows , I don’t understand what’s real in the reality shows when everything is performed in front of camera and all scripts and gestures are pre defined. But they are highly appreciated by the people.

The school children now find their lessons very boring in the environment where media is showing many practical things “how to go on a date with a girl”. Actually it started very earlier just site an example, all of us have calendar in our home, earlier Gandhiji, Bhagat Singh or subhash Chandra bose finds their place in the calendars. But now models ,film stars find their places on calendar. When a growing child looks on that calendar’s Gandhi or Bose he or she enquired about them and when told by family about his great contribution to country , the child also motivated to become Gandhi or Bose. Today News channels finds Mika and rakhi savant case more significant than covering the counter insurgencies areas in J & K. See its all about, how you can sell yourself and so, is the case with media.

Last month when i was coming to vadodara, i interacted with some first year students of a reputed educational institutions. It was totally stunning when i came to know that students are not aware about the national anthem and national song. They have no idea about the Judicial and political system of country. Country becomes great by its great citizens. Nation’s best resource are the human resource. Japan is an excellent example. So, these indication are not in the favour of health of a World’s largest democracy. Its time when there is sudden rise in demand of new states on the basis of Language and sentiments, where country is already facing problems like Naxalism, Maoist,Terrorism, poverty , corruption and many more, the responsibility of our generation and upcoming generation is much more demanding.

So, with the country facing some serious problems and our cultural, traditional and family values are also on stake by Media, on what basis we are claiming to become the super power by 2020. Media and press have to respond in sensible manner for sound functioning of Democracy, which is very complex machinery. There is no doubt in our capability , but only thing is that we have to put all that in shape because we can’t achieve the best by deviating from our roots.
